One of America's most arresting and successful concert and cabaret stars, Ms.
Akers has appeared at such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl,
New York's Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, and London's Pizza on the Park, and has
performed three times at the White House. She makes her Brownville debut singing the
melodies of Jule Styne.

Mr. Gordon enjoys an extraordinary career as a performer, composer, arranger,
educator, and conductor, receiving high praise and multiple awards and honors from
audiences and critics alike. He tours the world bringing hard-swinging, straight-ahead
jazz to audiences ranging from heads of state to elementary school students.

A veteran crooner for almost 20 years, Mr. Murray has toured with the group
“Re-Creation,” sung backup for many Nashville singers, and was a lead singer on the
luxury cruise line Royal Viking as well as for Disney in Tokyo. A Fellow of The
Eugene O’Neill Cabaret Symposium, Murray’s first cabaret show, Let’s Face the
Music,” premiered at Hollywood's famous Cinegrill and was named LA Weekly’s Cabaret
Pick of the Week.

Master Class following Concert
Returning to Brownville after nine years, Mr. Milenkovich is recognized
internationally for both exceptional artistry and his life-long commitment to
humanitarianism. He came to international attention when at age 10, he was invited
to perform for the late U.S. President, Ronald Reagan, followed by performances for
former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and for Pope John Paul II. His discography
includes four commercial releases on the Italian label Dynamic and recordings for
the Yugoslavian label PGP.

Master Class Following Performance
The 20-year-old Swiss pianist won First Prize in the 2007
Young Concert Artists International Auditions and
received the 2007 BROWNVILLE CONCERT SERIES PRIZE. He was presented by the
Young Concert Artists Series in his New York debut at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall and his
Washington, DC, debut at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater. In the fall of 2008,
he gave recitals in London and appeared as soloist in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue
with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Brownville favorite and consummate showman Mark Nadler has conceived and cast
this season's Brownville Christmas Gala and invited four singers from the world of
Cabaret to join him in ushering in the holiday season with music. The Christmas
Gala always closes the concert season. It is our largest production of the year
and a show that is conceived and cast just for the Brownville Concert Series.

performed at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Jazz at Lincoln Center and have
headlined with the Cleveland Pops and Colorado Symphony Orchestras.

Master Class following Concert
25-year-old Chinese-Canadian marimbist Pius Cheung won First Prize in the 2008
Young Concert Artists International Auditions and
will give debut recitals during the 2008-2009 season at Carnegie Hall in New York and
the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. At the Auditions, he received numerous other
awards including the 2008 BROWNVILLE CONCERT SERIES PRIZE.
